Our Mission and Vision

The Blue Butterfly Project

FMG University is deeply committed to our parent company’s credo of “Have Fun. Make Money. Do Good.” In service to that vision, we’ve automated the “Do Good” part of that motto by donating 10% of the registration fee from every student to the Blue Butterfly Project, our philanthropic sister organization. The Blue Butterfly Project supports many heart-centered, effective organizations around the world that need financial, educational, and medical assistance.

Throughout history the butterfly has been associated with the human soul. The Greeks used the word “psyche” for both “butterfly” AND “soul”. The Egyptians put butterflies on their tombs and sarcophagi. The Aztecs thought butterflies were the returned souls of warriors and sacrificial victims. Across cultures and races, across time, humans have held the butterfly as a symbol of spiritual transformation.

The natives of many rain forests call the blue butterfly the “Dream Maker”. Their legends say that the blue butterfly has the ability to give people hope and bolsters their determination to overcome the obstacles in their path. That makes it the perfect totem for this heart-centered, global-tribe-focused project.

Here, at the Blue Butterfly Project, our mission is to gather a global   tribe of individuals who all have desire for change – actual metamorphosis – which significantly and sustainably improves our own lives AND the lives of those around us. So come work (and play! ;-) ) with us. Together, we’ll make your dreams – and the dreams of all the other amazing souls of this planet – come true!

Frequently Asked Questions

We’re happy to answer your questions about FMG University! Here are some questions we’re commonly asked. If you’re still wondering about something that’s not answered here, email us at Support@FMGUniversity.com.

  • Does FMG University provide college credits or give out degrees?

    • No, at this point in time FMG University doesn’t give out college credits or confer degrees.

      Here’s how it works:

When you successfully complete one of our courses, you’ll receive your Certificate of Completion. The certificate has your name; the FMG University seal; your instructor’s name and signature; the title of your course; and the signature of the FMG Director of Education.

NOTE: The Certificate of Completion is awarded only when it’s verified that a student has successfully completed the assigned work for the course in which they’ve enrolled.

  • Does FMG University offer financial aid?

    • No, FMG University doesn’t offer financial aid. Some payment plans may be available.

      Here’s how it works:

Payment plans may be available, for a small number of courses, at the discretion of the instructor. These need to be arranged with FMG University Support. You can contact FMG University Support staff – to schedule an appointment to discuss any available plans – at either:

            • Call: 424.354.TALK
            • Email: Support@FMGUniversity.com

NOTE: When you choose a payment plan option, additional financial charges will be added to the Course Enrollment Fee.

  • Are courses held online or at a site with a physical classroom?

    • Unless stated otherwise, FMG University courses are all conducted on the internet in our virtual classrooms.

      Here’s how it works:

Our cutting-edge educational platform provides students and instructors with a very “connected” experience:

            • for each class, you can “raise your hand” with questions
            • class materials can be read on any platform (Mac or PC)
            • drop by your course’s virtual “café” and talk with your classmates

There are many other bells and whistles that make participation in our classrooms fun and easy as well as educational. Our goal is to have our virtual classroom experience be as – or more – alive and exciting as when you’re on a physical campus!

In addition, in the future many of our top instructors will offer live, on-site seminars and events at specified locations. Be sure to sign up for our school e-Newsletter – FMGU Campus Connect – to stay current with special classes and university news.

  • What’s a “free” course?

    • A “free” FMG University course is one that anyone can attend at no charge.

      Here’s how it works:

We offer at least one course every month – as a teleseminar or webinar – where we spotlight one of our faculty members. Each free course may be live – with a Q&A period – or it may be recorded broadcast you can replay at your convenience.

FMG University offers these free courses for so that everyone – whether you’re one of our students yet or not – can have the experience of learning from our expert faculty. It also gives you a chance to see if you like the instructor’s teaching style; ask them questions (if it’s live); and pick up useful information nuggets from topics in which you’re interested.

  • What’s a “self-paced” course?

    • A “self-paced” FMG University course is one where pre-recorded instructions, materials, and project guidelines are completed by the student – in their own way, at their own pace – within a 6-month period.

      Here’s how it works:

FMG University delivers the course’s audio, video, and text materials to you either as downloads or by mail, depending on what the course requires. You then have up to 6 (six) months to study; complete each project/ exercise; and submit your completed work to the instructor for approval. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive your Certificate of Completion.

NOTE: The Certificate of Completion is awarded only when it’s verified that a student has successfully completed the assigned work for the course in which they’ve enrolled.

  • What’s an “instructor-led” course?

    • An “instructor-led” FMG University course is conducted, live, in one of our online virtual classrooms. Your instructor is there with you, guiding you throughout the course.

      Here’s how it works:

Each week, you’ll log into your virtual classroom. There, your instructor will hold the class, answer questions, and give you your assignments for the week. You can communicate with your instructor, via email, for the duration of the course sessions. And you’ll also be able to “drop by” your course’s virtual “café” community during the week. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive your Certificate of Completion.

NOTE: The Certificate of Completion is awarded only when it’s verified that a student has successfully completed the assigned work for the course in which they’ve enrolled.

  • How many hours do I need for classes and project exercises?

    • The number of hours you commit to your FMG University classes and project exercises depends on the exercises themselves and, of course, your own study habits. ;-) )

      Here’s how it works:

Expect to spend 1 – 2 hours in class with your instructor (or with your instructions, in the case of self-paced study), then at least another hour on your project exercises. That comes to about 3 hours per week, minimum, for each course you take. For example: a 4-week course will need about 12 hours, total, for the duration of the course.

You can, of course, opt to spend more time than that studying; working on projects with your classmates (for live courses); and diving deeper into nuances of your course material. Remember: The more energy and joy you put into learning, the more you have to offer the world!

  • If I have questions, can I email my instructor?

    • Absolutely! Our FMG University faculty members are chosen both because they are experts AND because they love supporting students in their learning processes!

      Here’s how it works:

After you enroll, you’ll be given access to your course’s classroom. From there, you’ll be able to reach your instructor, using our internal email system, to ask questions about your course and/or project exercises.

  • How do I submit my completed project exercises?

    • The project exercises, for each FMG University course, are attached to your course-specific blog. You’ll be able to find instructions for them in your course’s “café”. Your personal course blog is where you’ll upload them once they’re complete.

      Here’s how it works:

When you enroll, you’re given a blog that’s yours for the duration of that specific course. The blog is where you’ll attach your project exercises and upload them for your instructor to review so they can give you feedback.

  • Do I need to purchase text books or materials for my course?

    • Each instructor states – in advance, on their course outline – what books and/or materials you’ll need.

      Here’s how it works:

Some instructors may supply you with downloadable versions of study and project materials. When additional texts, equipment, and/or materials are needed, those items will be listed in the course outline BEFORE you enroll.

And keep in mind that, even if there are items you don’t have or can’t obtain for any reason, you can always contact the course instructor. They may have other options for getting you what you need.

  • What’s your refund policy?

    • At FMG University we have a partial refund policy and it’s this: if, within 48 hours of initial enrollment, you want or need a refund, we’ll provide it minus 20% of the course enrollment fee. After 48 hours, the full course fee is non-refundable.

      Here’s how it works:

We realize that sometimes life shows up in a way that a course no longer works with your schedule. Since most of our courses are ongoing, we would first like to see if we can seat you in a future course with that same instructor, in a time period that works better for you.

In the event that you need to withdraw completely from a course, this is our policy:

If you withdraw WITHIN 48 hours from when you enroll, please send an explanation – of why you need the refund – to FMG University Support at Support@FMGUniversity.com. We keep the explanation in our confidential student records. As mentioned, we’ll then send you a refund >minus 20% of the course enrollment fee. The deduction is because students are given access to the classroom – where some of the course material is available – as soon as they enroll.

If you withdraw AFTER 48 hours from when you enroll, all course fees are non-refundable.

  • Are there technical requirements for attending your online courses?

    • Our FMG University courses’ technical requirements are minimal: you’ll need a computer; internet access; and either a phone line or Skype access.

      Here’s how it works:

Our educational platform is designed to work well, and easily, with all major browsers. (These include Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.) Any additional technical requirements, specific to a given course, are listed in its Course Outline in the Technical Requirements section.

  • Now that I’m enrolled, how do I access my online course?

    • Accessing your course is an easy process: READ your enrollment email; LOG INTO THE CLASS “CAFÉ” to see any assignments; LOG INTO THE COURSE at the right date and time.

      Here’s how it works:

Once you enroll into a class, you’ll receive an enrollment email. It’s important to immediately confirm that you’ve received it. Within that email you’re sent links to the FMG University classroom platform; your personal passcode giving you access to your chosen course; and the dates and times for your classes.

Within the classroom, you’ll receive an orientation and any materials that will help you prepare for your upcoming lessons.

Be sure to whitelist your class’ FMG University email address so our emails don’t accidentally get sent to your spam folder. We don’t want you to miss a single moment of your course communications! (If you need support in how to whitelist us for your particular browser, click here.

For additional help in getting started, please contact our support staff at Support@FMGUniversity.com.

  • How do I receive my Certificate of Completion?

    • Upon successful completion of your coursework, your instructor will provide you with a link to automatically download your Certificate of Completion.

      Here’s how it works:

The Certificate of Completion. is awarded once the instructor verifies that you’ve successfully completed the assigned work for the course in which you’re enrolled.

      Here’s how it works:

Checks and money orders must be made out to: Dunn Direct LLC

You can mail checks and money orders to:

            • student’s full name
            • student’s email address

  • Why won’t my credit card work?

    • While we don’t know the exact nature of why your card isn’t working, it’s usually that the billing address is incorrect.

      Here’s how it works:

Most often, when a credit card isn’t working, it’s because the billing address that was input doesn’t match the address your credit card company has on file. Please make sure that you have the correct address.

For other solutions, please call your credit card company. They can give you specific details about why the charge was declined.

  • Can I arrange a payment plan for a course?
